Ordering a Cd from Japan: A Disappointing Experience

I just ordered a J-pop Cd from Japan. I'm a fan of SHINee so when I saw their new single and I will be given a B-3 size poster if I will order so I didn't hesitated to order a copy for myself. I ordered this from CDJapan. I went thru all the hassle just to send them my payment. First, I opted for IPMO(International Postal Money Order) because the site of PhilPost says that this service is available in the Philippines and I thought this will be faster than sending money through registered mail.So I went to the post office and asked for IPMO and to may shock the lady there said that this kind of service is not available. I'm so pissed to the max. So, I went to the internet shop to cancel my first order because I indicated there that my payment method is IPMO and it can't be changed. I placed another order and I chose cash sent thru Registered Mail. I chose EMS as my shipping method because its faster. After that, I went to the money changer to change my money from Philippine Peso to US Dollars. My order is about 30 USD. It's very expensive but I just want to have my own copy so I think it's fine.

When CDJapan informed me that they have shipped my order last Oct. 12, I was so excited to receive my order. And suddenly I remembered that my order will go to the filthy hands of the people in BOC( Bureau of Customs) when it arrives here in the Philippines. I panicked and I got so anxious. I'm still a student and what if my order will be taxed by those corrupt people of customs? I'm totally dead.

As of today, I've checked the status of my order. The order status is "retention" which means it will be taxed by those shitty customs. I cried because I don't have money to go to Manila to get it from EMS Pasay Depot and I don't have money to pay for the tax.

Now, I've learned my lesson. Next time, I will just choose Registered Air Mail for my shipping method even though it's very slow. Goddamn this customs. They are so greedy. My order is placed in a big box I presumed because of the poster but my order is only about 200g! And from what I've read from the blog of magnetic-rose.net, if your package's estimated value is about 50 USD or lower most likely it will not be taxed. I've read so many terrifying stories from this blog. I goddamn hate Philippines now. It's really hard to live in this bullshit country.

I know some of you out there have experienced what I'm experiencing right now.
Because today is Saturday, I can't contact EMS PASAY DEPOT, so I will go to my local post office on Monday to ask for assistance about my package. May God help me with my awful plight.

Good Afternoon!

May God Bless us ALL!
